Every summer, Cicero District 99's Multilingual Department brings the heat with our Dual Language Academy — a full day dedicated to growing, connecting, and leveling up as educators. And this year? We did not disappoint. 

From mastering reflexive verbs in English and Spanish, to building student ownership with simple organizational tools, to unlocking the power of gamification and structured math strategies — this year's workshops were practical, powerful, and packed with ideas educators can use immediately.

But here's what makes this PD truly next-level: Every single session was led by our very own D99 educators. These are the voices of experience — passionate, innovative teachers who know our students, our classrooms, and our community. They shared real strategies, creative tools, and collaborative practices that are already making a difference for multilingual learners across the district.

It's more than professional development — it's a celebration of the brilliance within our own walls. There's nothing more powerful than teachers teaching teachers. And that's what make this event fill up every single year.

Oh — and we can't forget the warmest BIENVENIDA to our newest Dual Language teachers joining us from Spain and Puerto Rico! Their energy, heart, and commitment are already lighting up our district! We are so lucky to have them in our family!
